Tropical “no”Groni

Negronis are all the rage (again) and I got an NA Negroni kit for Christmas. This particular kit uses Lyre’s Italian Orange for Campari, Ginish for Gin, and The Pathfinder in place of sweet vermouth. I find Pathfinder extremely bitter and strong, so I started experimenting with ratios balance out the flavors. My recommendation for this combo is 2 oz Lyres, 1 oz Ginish, 1/2 oz Pathfinder. However, what’s even better is the addition of pineapple juice. The sweet and tart flavor complements the bitterness and I find it completely delicious. Here’s my recipe:

  • 2 oz Lyre’s Italian Orange
  • 1 oz Ginish
  • 1/2 oz The Pathfinder
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • orange peel for garnish

Shake Lyre’s, Ginish, Pathfinder and juice with ice. Strain into a double rocks glass over ice. Garnish with orange peel.
