It’s August. It’s still hot – definitely spritz weather – and have I got a spritz for you! It’s an alcohol-free version of an Aperol spritz, and I think I like it even better than I used to like the original.
BIONDO SPRITZ
- 1 bottle of Crodino Biondo (10 cl)
- alcohol-free sparkling white wine
- orange slices
- rosemary sprigs
Squeeze one orange slice into a large wine glass. Add rosemary and muddle. Add ice. Add Crodino. Pour in sparkling wine to top. Garnish with orange slice.
I used Noughty Sparkling Chardonnay in this recipe. I tried this AF wine for the first time last week and I was blown away by how good it was. It is great on it’s own, and it’s great in this recipe too. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
Crodino is a bitter Italian soda. The blonde version looks like Aperol, so tried it to make this cocktail. That’s a silly way to make a flavor decision, but I lucked out. It’s so yummy!
